This October Hull City Football Club is delighted to announce that they are starting a new football development centre in Scarborough.

Why are we running these sessions?
There will be three sessions aimed at developing the most promising young talent in Scarborough and the surrounding area. The development centre will enable children in and around Scarborough to be trained in the same way that the children in our centre of excellence are.

When and where are these sessions?
Sessions will be held at Raincliffe School on aChildren who will be in year 6 in september and play for an under 11's team will train on a tuesday. Children who will be in year 4 and 5 and play for under 9's and 10's in september will train on thursdays.
All sessions will be at Raincliffe School. The trials will be on 7th october, 14th october and 21st october 2010 for under 10’s (Y5). The under 11’s have already been selected. All trials and training sessions are from 5pm until 6.30pm.

Who is running the training sessions?
Nigel Carson and Michael Barker will be coaching the boys.

What is the benefit of attending these sessions?
The boys should enjoy fun, challenging training sessions with the best boys in the area and will hopefully with hard work and dedication, improve as footballers.
Some boys will get the opportunity to have training days with the Hull City F.C centre of excellence and to play against their team.
Boys who Nigel believes to be showing outstanding talent and live in the Hull City F.C. catchment area will get a 4-6 week trial in Hull with a view to signing for their centre of excellence.

What if I live outside the catchment area?
You can still train with us and hopefully you will develop as a player and enjoy football which doesn’t clash with your minor league football. When you reach the age of 13 the catchment net widens and Hull City F.C will be aware of your ability and you of Hull City F.C. can potentially offer.

Is this club open to everyone?
Every boy of the correct age is welcome to come along for a trial, however only the best 18 children in each age group will be selected.

How much does it cost to train with the Hull City F.C. Development Centre in Scarborough?
It is free of charge.
